Your Responsibilities
Lockton Dunning Benefits is currently seeking a Project Manager, who will assist the VP of Operations in supervising, managing and directing key high level transformational projects. Will provide day-to-day leadership of projects and lead all aspects of projects to completion. Will be the subject matter expert to collaborate with key stakeholder to determine operational design requirement.
- Act as the team leader on assigned projects by establishing deliverables and accountability, communicating progress and results, and ensuring that all elements of the project from process design to implementation are on target to meet objectives.
- Works closely with senior management and stakeholders to define project deliverables and project success criteria and then assigns project scope to involved parties throughout the project life-cycle.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze business needs and requirements to deliver delivers project artifacts as needed.
- Develop and execute project plans utilizing a project management methodology and project planning tools.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders and subject matter experts to establish the future state vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
- Serve as the liaison with project stakeholders and outsourced vendors or delivery teams.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Proactively manage and resolve changes in project scope, risks, and issues.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Continuously improve upon project metrics.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Five (5) or more years of applicable work experience required, including development of best practices and SOPs.
- Bachelor’s degree is desirable.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Healthcare Project Management.
- Three (3) or more years of healthcare industry.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and related concepts is a plus.
- Able to effectively communicate high-level concepts and low-level details.
- Able to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Strong background in Continuous Quality Improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
