Your Responsibilities
Point6 Healthcare is a large and complex claims specialty practice which includes our risk financing and stop loss coverage expertise, as well as our clinical and cost reduction business. We focus on the 0.6% of an employer’s population risk that drive more than a third of the healthcare cost.
Point6 Healthcare is currently seeking an Account Executive – Marketing & Placement Subject Matter Expert (SME), who will play a critical role servicing the needs of Point6 Healthcare clients under the general guidance of the Head of Marketing & Placement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism; possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and work on complex service plan design.
- Serve as a subject matter expert managing a TPA client’s Stop-Loss Purchasing Program.
- Lead and manage all activities regarding marketing and placement of specific and aggregate stop loss insurance for TPA clients and prospects including any captive administration or exclusive program arrangements.
- Responsible for building and maintaining a strong working relationship with our third-party service partners and carrier panel.
- Accountable for following all process and governance steps and ensuring those steps are followed by associates
- Marketing, negotiation and placement for stop-loss and ancillary services to include evaluation of alternative risk strategies.
- Ensure Point6 negotiated ‘Best Practice’ market contract terms, including but not limited to:
- Multi-year rate stabilization programs within defined rate caps and renewal guarantees
- Plan Mirroring to include benefits covered in the approved plan document, limitations and exclusions, independent review organization extensions. Experimental/Investigational/Clinical Trials, Use of Usual and Customary and Medical Necessity.
- Provide New Business Quotes- Good faith commitment to provide quotes on all submissions.
- Own the Best Practice Disclosure Process- agree to policies set forth in Company’s Disclosure Acknowledgement Form and to complete the Disclosure Acknowledgment Form on every policy written that requires disclosure.
- Manage the Stop-loss Carrier relationship management, servicing and negotiating on behalf of TPA clients.
- Plan document to Policy Review (exposure reviews, gap free reviews and plan document assessments).
- Conduct Policy-to-Policy to proposal audit and review.
- Produce stop-loss marketing report, including side by side comparisons of quoted terms, rates, networks, administrative fees and benchmarking exhibits.
- Completion of all final underwriting elements including final disclosure process.
- Coverage terms benchmarking for existing customers and bare group risk analysis.
- Provide non-actuarial certified financial underwriting and premium equivalent rate development services on each placement.
- Coordinate application package– delivery of executed policy, billing materials, and reimbursement preferences.
GENERAL JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for working with service delivery organization to prepare client facing deliverables.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients
- Ensure clients receive requested services and reporting according to schedule
- Communicate client needs to service delivery organization leaders as well as operations leaders
- Manage projects within client relationships, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goals
- Identify opportunities to grow business with existing clients
- Coordinate with service delivery process owners and process leads to ensure consistent service experiences
- Effectively serve multiple clients concurrently
- Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to other team members.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- SME and analyst roles are individual contributor roles.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field and/or equivalent years of experience
- Minimum five years’ experience in the insurance industry, specifically in employee welfare benefits
- List any required insurance licenses or able to become licensed
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships
- A firm working knowledge of welfare benefits in multiple product lines (i.e. medical, dental, life, AD&D, disability) and a basic understanding of risk and insurance
- Strong account management experience for large, complex, multi-state clients
- Participate or lead client meetings to review and resolve vendor issues
- Manage and report monthly claim tracking results and observations
- Manage/maintain large spreadsheets, census data distribution, geo-access benchmarking data, etc.
- Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of differing financial arrangements and products available to clients (i.e. fully insured, minimum premium, ASO)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
