Your Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide "best in class” service and coverage solutions to multinational clients
- Develop a strong understanding of clients' businesses and use the knowledge to anticipate and address their needs successfully and professionally; ability to work independently with clients on routine assignments
- Prepare meaningful deliverables with clear messaging for all client interactions (renewal strategy, renewal proposal, stewardship, etc.)
- Manage International Casualty and Package programs
- Identify and request information required for market submissions, working with internal and external clients to secure and complete information
- Determine appropriate markets for client-related coverage; maintain relationships with key international markets. Provide coverage analysis, quote comparisons and renewal proposals to clients
- Effectively manage global renewal dates, ensuring adequate timing for pre-renewal work and post-renewal follow-up, including local admitted overseas policies
- Global program strategy and implementation across all lines of cover
- Work with teams in respective disciplines to vet global markets and assist with program design across multiple lines of cover, including but not limited to: Property, Marine, Management Liability, Cyber, and Professional Liability
- Effectively communicate recommendations to internal and external clients
- Assist teams in global program implementation once bound (communications with overseas offices, policy/premium tracking for all global/local policies)
- Point of contact for international broker teams
- Regularly communicate with teams at local Lockton Global offices regarding renewals, program changes, acquisitions, and other events that can impact program structures or client relationships
- Develop sustainable and trusting relationships with local offices via in-person visits (global travel), as well as via frequent communication
- Deliver all the resources Lockton has to offer globally
- Maintain awareness of resources, practice groups, and areas of specialization that Lockton has to offer both domestically and abroad
- Serve as liaison and connection point of US domestic teams and resources outside the U.S.
- Work with Producers to identify and win new clients
- Keep a pulse on market and regulatory developments; disseminate information to internal and external clients
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, International Affairs or equivalent education / work experience
- 5+ years of experience in commercial insurance, including extensive knowledge of Property and Casualty coverage
- At least 2+ years of experience developing coverage solutions for multinational companies on a worldwide basis, including placing cover outside of the US.
- Firm grasp of English language with above average verbal, written and interpersonal skills to interact with associates and clients at all levels of responsibility
- Proven ability to organize and manage time efficiently to prioritize heavy workloads to meet all time sensitive deadlines.
- Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation, and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
- Flexibility to travel both domestically and abroad; both accompanied and alone.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and similar applications, including use of spreadsheet applications and formula calculations.
- Knowledge of foreign language(s) and/or experience working/traveling overseas a plus.
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
- Legally able to work in the United States.
