Your Responsibilities
Position Overview
The MarComm Team for Lockton Northeast is currently seeking a self-motivated Proposal Writer, skilled in creating content for corporate audiences, such as Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, infographics, large and detailed presentations (development and editorial) and project management. Familiarity with the insurance industry is a big plus. We prefer this position to be located in Lockton’s Washington, DC or Hartford, CT office.

Responsibilities
- Create and edit proposals, sales decks (PowerPoint), and finalist presentations.
- Initiate the writing and coordinating of activities associated with the RFP process, ensuring the highest quality of service is provided while remaining consistent with Lockton Brand Guidelines.
- Edit proposal content for spelling, grammar, consistency, and compliance with stated requirements.
- Update and maintain a library of the most up-to-date information and resources for RFP work, to include answer creation and research.
- Participate in the activities involved in the resolution of issues associated with the RFP process, ensuring follow-through to resolution.
- Partner with implementation teams and management to develop and maintain a keen understanding of our services and capabilities.
- Coordinate projects with support from Marketing Team Members with strict adherence to detailed customer specifications.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in writing, journalism, marketing, advertising, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of five years of experience in proposal preparation and project management.
- Proven proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Proven understanding of RFPs and how to create sophisticated and detailed responses.
- Proven proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Advanced technical skills in the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Creative, detail-oriented, well-organized with the ability to learn, follow instructions, manage projects, prioritize and self-manage daily workload.
- Understanding of the insurance industry is preferred.
