Your Responsibilities
Global Independent Insurance Brokerage seeking a dynamic individual to support our Commercial Insurance Department. Must be a self-motivator and highly organized in workflow and time management. Candidates need to be able to be flexible and dynamic with the ability to adapt to day-to-day priorities. This role requires knowledge of the insurance brokerage space and the operations of an insurance brokerage.
Summary:
Provides business operations support to the Commercial Insurance Dept. (CID) with offices from Seattle to San Diego. Primary focus of CID is Property & Casualty insurance. Partners with CID leadership group to provide administrative, technical and analytics support. Supports business planning initiatives, facilitates processes and completes special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:
• Partners with Operations, People Services, Accounting, Communications Manager, Lockton Financial Services, Technical Services Unit, Surety, Risk Services, Analytics Practice, CID Unit Leaders, Regional Leaders and Associates, Communication Services Group, IT, the Center/Corporate office and other internal departments when needed.
• Participates in weekly CID Unit Leaders Meetings
• Liaison with ResourcePro.
• Creates and manages CID utilization with ResourcePro.
• Provides WebEx training to CID teams regarding new ResourcePro workflow tasks.
• Participates in budget planning process for ResourcePro support with CID Operations.
• Utilizes Power BI, RSP Utilization and Overtime Reports to determine needs for additional Project Coordinators when CID Unit Leaders submit open Reqs to HR. Provides recommendations to Operations pertaining to these Reqs.
• Learning & Development:
- Act as liaison between CID and People Services Nexsure Training.
- Participates in the Lockton University team.
- Participates in Learning & Development Calendar team and identifies learning opportunities and associates to host WebEx workshops.
• Nexsure Reports and Coding oversight:
- Runs the following reports to identify corrections that are needed: Locates policies with no Account Executive assigned, future policy status, expired policies, inactive associates, and ensures new associates are added.
- Coordinates with Unit Leaders/ RSP/Nexsure for Client and Policy re-assignments when there are changes in Associates, departments.
• Liaison Core Broking- Represents assigned offices in the development and roll out of the new Core Broking platform.
• Maintains CID Procedures Guide Addendum with updates as needed.
• Participates in Outlook Distribution Groups organization.
• Serves as a resource for the Leadership Group (Directors, Practice Leaders and Growth Leader) to help identify potential process changes that can generate efficiencies.
• Organizes and supports the preparation of internal meetings; including creation of presentations
• Helps to facilitate process improvement by engaging appropriate resources in issue identification and resolution.
• Participates in the development of department policy and procedures
• Excess Liability Initiative- audits Series Excess Liability Placements to ensure carriers have provided pre agreed terms.
• Drives the implementation of new initiatives with key stakeholders
• Supports communication efforts in announcements/newsletters.
• Works with local office contacts to coordinate training events and other office wide meetings
• Maintains confidentiality of highly sensitive information
Qualifications
• Minimum 7 years of insurance industry experience and a Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed.
• Detail oriented with excellent time management skills to prioritize workloads, organize and manage workflow to meet time sensitive deadlines.
• Adapts and drives effective results in a variety of situations with multiple diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic planning skills
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrates understanding of when to proceed alone and when to involve others
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of associate, client and company information
• Ability to travel
• Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged amount of time
• Legally able to work in the United States
