Your Responsibilities
Lockton is looking for a talented video professional to manage our in-house video studio and grow Lockton’s video offerings. As video becomes an essential tool for effective storytelling, you will work closely with a variety of stakeholders on various client-facing and internal videos, as well as produce and edit videos that meet our brand standards. You will work closely with an external video vendor when required, due to capacity, and serve as an active member of the empowered team of Associates working in Kansas City.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all video projects and execute on all phases of production, including preproduction, production and postproduction
- Help manage Lockton’s video studio, video equipment and other related inventory
- Provide creative consultation and storyboarding on video concepts to a variety of stakeholders that matches their vision while adhering to best practices
- Set up equipment, including cameras, lights and audio for video shoots
- Edit and cut raw video and audio into a high quality, produced asset
- Film and stream live-webcasts
- Understand and be able to perform some technical support on equipment
- Create and keep a positive experience and environment for clients and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with an external video partner on large projects
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience as a video producer, editor or related role
- Bachelors degree in film, video production or similar field is a plus
- Experience with all aspects of studio and location production, both setup and operation, including cameras, tripods, microphones, remote lighting, and editing
- Experience with motion graphics and visual effects using Adobe After Effects
- Extensive knowledge of video editing principles and proficiency in video editing software including Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
- Ability to shoot video with PTZ camera, Canon Professional camcorders, DSLR cameras, and other comparable cameras.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends for cameras, lighting and other equipment
- Full understanding of photography and videography principles
- Proficient on Mac platform
- Willingness to learn and perform a wide variety of tasks with many stakeholders
- Able to work independently, as well as a part of a team
- Ability to apply effective video storytelling techniques to all projects
- Must be dependable and able to meet deadlines under minimal supervision
- Confidence to work with high-ranking leaders and executives
- Able to manage up when needed and help set or reset scopes and expectations when needed
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to navigate tight timelines
