Your Responsibilities
The Risk Analyst is responsible for developing statistical information on complex client accounts for the Commercial Insurance Department regarding program analysis and design, financial projections, and other specific technical areas.
Position responsibilities
• Prepare financial models to illustrate, project, and analyze a variety of quantitative projects including loss projections and stratifications, program/net present value comparisons, dynamic capital models, captive feasibility studies, and other analytical projects as requested
• Participate in the review and negotiation of collateral requirements with insurance carrier partners
• Prepare spreadsheets, graphs, charts, diagrams, and other illustrative tools used in presentations to identify trends and assist our clients in understanding the drivers of their cost of risk
Other position responsibilities
• Assist Producers, Account Executives, and Account Managers on projects or accounts as requested
• Make a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service to the customer
• Protect the confidentiality of information learned by performing the duties of the position
• Comply with Lockton procedures and policies
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Position qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, actuarial science, finance, business, or math preferred, or equivalent education and/or experience with emphasis in math, accounting, or finance required
• A minimum of two year's analytical experience preferred
• Completion of two plus actuarial exams preferred
• High skill in using computer application software for financial modeling, statistical analysis, spreadsheet calculations, word processing, and other database analyses
• General understanding of commercial property and casualty coverages preferred
• Ability to compile, analyze, present, and interpret complex financial and statistical information to facilitate decision making
• Demonstrated presentation skills (preparation and execution)
• Must have the ability to summarize results in written form
• Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively present information to Associates at all levels of the Lockton organization
• Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time- sensitive deadlines
• Strong understanding and application of accounting principles and experience in the interpretation of financial statements
• Strong attention to detail required
• Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and be away from home more than one day and night
• Legally able to work in the United States
