Your Responsibilities
The role of the Content Specialist is to bridge the gap between our account teams and creative teams to help curate and expedite the flow of content for marketing collateral for core verticals, practice areas, and prospect presentations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Development, Strategy & Copywriting
● Develop engaging and persuasive copy for various industry verticals, practice areas, and marketing channels that embody Lockton’s brand voice and tell a consistent and cohesive story.
● Collaborate with stakeholders to produce innovative content for go-to-market materials, including but not limited to white papers, online experiences, newsletters, and prospecting materials.
● Evaluate and refine existing content ensuring it matches Lockton’s subject matter expertise and brand story. Optimize written content for clarity, engagement, and alignment with intended audiences.
● Contribute to the development of content strategies that drive brand engagement and support marketing objectives
Prospect & Sales Support
● Curate, create, and organize content for prospect presentations, alongside Client Advocates, Producers, and Creative Teams to deliver high-quality proposals, finalist presentations, and supplemental prospect materials.
Research Specialist
● Conduct market research to gather data on industry trends, competitors, and audience insights. Use research findings to inform content strategy and creative decisions.
● Use research findings to inform content strategy and creative decisions and support market sector growth and business objectives.
Copy Editing & Quality Control
● Review and edit all written materials for grammar, style, consistency, and tone. Ensure content aligns with the brand voice and maintains a high standard of quality.
● Perform meticulous quality checks and copy editing on prospect presentations and other critical communications to ensure accuracy, consistency, and professionalism
● Incorporate feedback from internal and external stakeholders to continually improve content quality and effectiveness.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
● 3-5 years of experience in content creation, copywriting, product marketing, or a similar role
● Proven experience in conducting research and using data to inform content
● Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
● Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high editorial standards
PREFERRED SKILLS
● Experience in B2B marketing and/or sales support.
● Proficiency with presentation, marketing, and project management software (e.g., PowerPoint, Adobe InCopy, Adobe Workfront)
● Knowledge of UX writing and user-centered design principles.
This position reports to Creative Director, The West Series.
