Your Responsibilities
Position Overview
In your role as a Senior Global Benefits Consultant at Lockton Global People Solutions (GPS), your primary responsibility will be to provide strategic consulting guidance and services to multinational corporations regarding various aspects of their global operations. This includes advising on retirement benefits, insured employee benefits, and total rewards strategies.
Your expertise will make you an invaluable strategic partner for our clients as they work towards achieving their specific goals and objectives.
As a key member of our global benefits team, you will have the authority to develop and deliver solutions that are tailored to our clients' needs, thereby directly contributing to the growth and future direction of Lockton's Global Benefits practice. This is your opportunity to help shape our course and influence our investments in different areas.
In your capacity as a senior client leader, you will take charge of managing clients and service teams while leading multi-country projects. You'll work closely with client headquarters, local country client contacts, and other Lockton consultants. Your role will involve project management, serving as the primary communication liaison with clients on a day-to-day basis, creating client deliverables, playing a part in client management and business development activities, and actively participating in the creation of new intellectual assets for our organization.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day consulting activities for the client team and client, including renewal activity; pooling reports, analysis, and studies; and country renewal and activity reporting.
- Work with the client team to develop project plans and budgets, collaborating with our consultants in country as appropriate.
- Partner with your Lockton colleagues to conclude projects and monitor time spent and project budget.
- Make analytical projects and conclusions/recommendations for work conducted.
- Serve as primary, daily contact to your assigned clients and attend client meetings as may be required.
- Support/ lead as may be appropriate special projects, benefit plan strategy and design, plan management and governance strategy, and multinational pooling.
- Cultivate image as a professional, trustworthy consultant internally and externally.
- Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels.
- The right candidate may manage a team of junior consultants helping to develop and influence their career path. At a minimum, you will be an important mentor to these individuals.
- Reporting of time on the client work will be required, but only client time. There are no billable hour targets or goals.
- Accounting includes ensuring invoices are produced and delivered based upon direction from Producers or client teams.
- You will be responsible for the profitability of the account. This is an opportunity to control the broader financial picture on your clients.
- Technology is critical to our client service model. As the Global Client leader on your accounts you will be responsible for ensuring our client service tool Navigator is up to date with the current plan design and renewal financials
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- 8+ years of experience working on global HR benefits and compensation programs and demonstrated expertise in delivering HR consulting services to multinational organizations.
- Proven experience managing multiple clients, timeframes, and deliverables.
- Strong client relationship, interpersonal and team skills.
- A professional presence with polished, well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to assess varied situations and to develop the correct path forward, with confidence.
- Ability to actively listen for client concerns and objectives, and to understand them.
- Ability to understand complex issues and know how to resolve concerns, including when to escalate issues for resolution.
- Strong analytical and creative skills.
- The desire to be part of a growth team and interest in shaping the future for the Global Benefits Practice.
- Availability to travel when needed.
- Experience living and working overseas a plus.
- Foreign language skills a plus.
- Experience managing individuals a plus, but not required.
