About the Position
The Benefits Coordinator II supports Nebraska Medicine in providing life-cycle benefit services to the client’s Human Resources department and employees. Responsibilities include a range of client-specified benefit administration and operation’s support services.

Location: This position supports NE Medicine and is primarily remote. Candidates must reside in the Omaha, NE area, as occasional onsite attendance is required for trainings and other in-person needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop a detailed understanding and in-depth working knowledge of the Nebraska Medicine's employer-sponsored benefit plans. Provides a variety of benefit services; based on client needs, duties include the administration and support of payroll preparation and reconciliations, billing reconciliations, COBRA services, Tax Advantaged Account administration and varied assistance program.
- Develop a detailed understanding and in-depth working knowledge of the client’s HRIS system processes and functionality, duties include benefit feed file oversight, payroll audit and reconciliation.
- Serves as a front-line liaison between the client’s Human Resources department, colleagues, BCInsourcing, and benefit carriers.
- Investigate and independently resolve benefit-related responsibilities, including payroll, deduction, billing, and claim issues.
- Responds to employee and carrier inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Creates and maintains a proactive environment by promptly coordinating with Nebraska Medicine Benefits & Wellbeing team and other appropriate parties when recognizing an accelerated issue or unusual matter to collectively provide solutions and ensure it is resolved thoroughly and accurately.
- Performs other duties as requested by BCInsourcing.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent and/or related work experience demonstrating subject matter expert knowledge of benefit administration.
- Professional user experience operating in an HRIS payroll/benefits management system.
- At least 2-3 years of experience working in employee benefits.
- Working knowledge of benefit insurance products, including core and/or voluntary benefit insurance.
- Proven experience in operating in Microsoft Excel to include such things as sorting/filter, pivot tables and creating formulas.
- Demonstrate self-driven problem-solving skillset with limited supervision.
Demonstrate a clear ability to adhere to a step-by-step process while using deductive reasoning to produce positive outcomes.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigher education or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related field
Workday experience preferred.

Compensation
The starting hourly pay range for this position is $27.40 – $29.80 per hour.
The listed hourly range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum compensation for this position. Actual pay will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, licensure, and internal equity. In most cases, new hires are not brought in at the top of the range, as compensation decisions are evaluated based on the specific circumstances of each hire.
