Lockton Named a Best Workplace for Women
Lockton Australia is thrilled to announce that it has been listed as one of Australia’s Best Workplaces™ for Women in 2023. Great Place To Work®, the global authority on workplace culture revealed the 50 companies on the List in an online announcement earlier today. The companies were shortlisted using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback.
“At Lockton we have worked hard over the last couple of years to cultivate a positive workplace culture, so it’s an absolute delight to receive this recognition. Our company culture is, and will continue to be, a top priority and this acknowledgment is further evidence of our culture in action,” said Fiona Bridge, Head of HR, Lockton Australia and New Zealand.
“When we asked our female associates about life at Lockton in 2023, 96% of respondents stated they were proud to work at Lockton.”
Lockton Pacific Chief Executive Officer, Paul Marsden, congratulated all associates for making Lockton, not only a Great Place To Work, but among the Best Workplaces™ for Women in 2023.
“This is a significant achievement and a testament to our unwavering commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. We look forward to seeing the Lockton business continue to lead the way in promoting gender equality in the years to come,” he said.
The Best Workplaces™ for Women List is determined using The Great Place To Work For All™ methodology to evaluate. The Great Place to Work Trust Index™ Survey enables employees to share confidential quantitative and qualitative feedback about their organisation's culture by responding to 60 statements on a 5-point scale and answering two open-ended questions. Collectively, these statements describe a great employee experience, defined by high levels of trust, respect, credibility, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
“The Best Workplaces for Women list is based on data representative of over 40,000 employee voices from women in Great Place to Work® Certified™ organisations across Australia,” said Roland Wee, Managing Director of Great Place To Work Australia.”
“We have indeed made great strides in closing gender disparity in Australian companies and the recent legislation to publish gender pay gap from 2024 is yet another step in the right direction. However, as long as we rely on legislation to enforce it, we will never be able to reach true equality. Great Place To Work Certified companies must lead the way in making the workplace fairer and more equitable for all,” he said.
“We congratulate the companies listed on The Best Workplaces™ for Women 2023 List and they are indeed the best-of-the-best, as validated by the voices of their employees.”
