Your Responsibilities
The Business Development Coordinator provides essential support to Producers in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities. This role involves researching new prospects, cold calls, and networking to generate a sales pipeline for Producers. Additionally, the Coordinator will manage the prospect pipeline, including ongoing outreach to progress opportunities through the sales pipeline, and develop content that will be meaningful to specific prospects and segments.
Market Research:
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industries, and trends.
- Gather information on competitors and market conditions to support business development strategies.
Lead Generation:
- Assist in identifying and qualifying potential leads through various channels, including online research and networking events.
- Research new prospects, cold calls, and network to generate a sales pipeline for Producers.
Prospect Relationship Management:
- Coordinate prospect meeting details.
- Support the development and maintenance of prospect relationships by coordinating communication and follow-up activities.
- Assist in the preparation of prospect engagement materials and presentations.
- Manage meeting preparations to ensure the Producer is prepared and the meeting outcome is successful, including analyzing data, leading input from teams on strategy, developing consistent communication, and preparing documents.
CRM Management:
- Update and maintain the Salesforce system for pipeline, prospects, and ongoing activities.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency in the Salesforce system.
- Leverage Salesforce/Salesloft to reach prospects with Lockton collateral.
- Prepare and distribute internal and external communications related to business development activities.
Event Marketing:
- Work with Marketing and Communications to adhere to brand standards and create event collateral and event communication cadences. Assist with execution of materials, invitations, and follow up communications.
- Help create, implement, and manage external branding opportunities to increase Lockton and Producer’s exposure to the business community and Prospects through networking, trade associations, business groups, and social media.
- Attend Producer-identified events for networking and prospecting opportunities.
Presentation & Proposal Management:
- Maintain and build relevant presentations
- Coordinate efforts with RFP Team and Producers
Marketing Coordination:
- Develop and analyze People Solutions marketing collateral for Series
- Develop and maintain Salesforce and Salesloft technical best practices
- Review and evaluate People Solutions marketing collateral and processes
Qualifications
- 2 years experience with an employee benefits brokerage experience
- Based in Atlanta – hybrid work schedule – 3 days in / 2 days remote
