Your Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality projects by using creativity and Strategically create and manipulate high-quality, visually cohesive, error-free deliverables that adhere to Lockton standards for formatting, appearance, and brand standards while using creativity and exercising latitude to elevate the brand while telling or conveying the client/account team's story.
- Communication regarding workload, project resource requirements, potential issues, and/or coverage during absences.
- Ensure error-free products by following established proofreading procedures, operating system spell check, and using available reference materials for proper grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.
- Communicate in a positive manner to contribute to a cohesive and pleasant work environment. Positively motivate and engage others, building trust and rapport among both MDS and the Series, adding emphasis during peak season.
- Ensure all assigned projects are properly logged and required deadlines are met. Log an average of 100 hours per month.
- Resolve any questions concerning project assignments to ensure product meets or exceeds expectations. Exercise independent judgment in interpreting instructions and suggest changes to author as needed to produce a quality document.
- Proactively familiarize yourself with all of Lockton's service areas and groups.
- Serve as a brand resource to the Series.
- Provide mentoring as needed to other designers.
- Ownership of complex assigned clients or projects.
- Perform other work-related responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in the graphic design field, preferably in publication design, visual communication, print design, branding, typography, infographic design, in-house design, or corporate design.
- Expert skill using and creating InDesign key commands, personal libraries, parent pages, paragraph styles, and character styles. Strong skills with other design programs.
- Strong creative problem solving skills under the stress of pressing deadlines.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, or PowerPoint.
- Proven knowledge of the AP Style of the English language and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work weekly and project-related overtime as-needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and structured environment.
- Ability to proceed alone, elevate concerns, and/or involve other Associates as appropriate.
Compensation and Benefits
Lockton Companies LLC is committed to offering competitive pay and benefits and complies with all relevant state/local pay transparency laws. The entry base salary offered for this opportunity may vary, and is contingent upon candidate education, skills, abilities, essential competencies, experience, professional designations, unique qualifications, and geographic location.
Performance Bonus: This role may be eligible for an annual performance bonus, based upon the financial performance of the organization and the individual contributions of the Associate.
