The Lender Review Analyst is a detail-oriented individual, responsible for the professional evaluation of insurance policies, insurance certificates, loss data, modeling reports, along with other market data to provide a comprehensive assessment of commercial insurance compliance. You will communicate potential insurance risk, lender requirements, and provide guidance when a waiver or exception is necessary.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborates internally and externally with Associate Analysts, Consultants, Advisors, Lenders, Brokers and Legal Counsel to ensure all data is received for initial review.
- Reviews insurance certificates and policies for any “red flag” issues and confirm all coverages, terms and conditions meet requirements for respective Lender.
- Drafts correspondence to Lender, borrower and broker outlining needed prior to closing to satisfy requirements.
- Authors detailed reports outlining findings, red flags/issues, recommendations and coverages for Lenders.
- Coordinates with outside insurance contact or broker to make necessary changes to insurance policies to effectively meet insurance programs.
- Audits property and casualty insurance certificates and closing documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Manages renewal transactions, certificate reviews, and Lender relationships.
- Attends and occasionally leads departmental meetings.
- Prepares invoices for Lenders based on fee agreements and follow up for payments.
- Makes a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service.
- Other duties or tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma (or GED) required.
- Two (2) years of insurance experience – college degree or college hours will be taken into consideration.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail.
- High aptitude for accuracy in mathematical calculations.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads and successfully meet time-sensitive deadlines. Must be results-oriented with the ability to prioritize as needed.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to interact with associates at all levels of responsibility, along with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
- Desire and willingness to further insurance knowledge by participating in self-study, Lockton provided classes, and on-the-job training.
- Ability to travel and work outside of regular business hours as needed.
- Legally able to work in the United States.
