About the Position

Lockton’s Marketing department is an integrated team of divisional marketing, communications and design specialists who act as trusted advisors, creating and implementing strategic marketing plans and activities that support business objectives. Our specialist expertise include advertising, design, copywriting, thought leadership, digital, communications and client document support (such as for tenders). We partner with Lockton’s broking divisions to tailor strategies that enable commercial success – there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to marketing at Lockton.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a detail-oriented, brand-focused Graphic Designer specialising in Microsoft Office templates (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and document design. In this role, you will be instrumental in elevating our corporate collateral and ensuring consistent, polished, and professional visual communication across a large organisation.

A major focus of this role will be the administration, creation, and maintenance of content within UpSlide, our Microsoft Office productivity and brand-compliance platform. You will bridge creative design and technical template architecture, understanding how smart, robust templates drive brand equity and operational efficiency at scale.

Qualifications

You should have the following experience:

Graphic design experience in a corporate, agency, or professional services environment.
Microsoft Suite Mastery: Advanced technical and design proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word (deep understanding of slide masters, custom layout creation, coluor/font themes, styles, grid systems, and table formatting).
UpSlide Expertise: Hands-on experience creating, curating, and deploying content via UpSlide (or comparable enterprise add-ins) is strongly preferred.
Adobe Creative Cloud: Strong working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop to create custom vector assets, iconography, and layouts.
Brand Systems Acumen: Demonstrated ability to work within brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries to modernise layouts.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take creative feedback constructively and communicate technical template guidelines to non-designers.

Stephanie joined Lockton in February 2022 as Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion after building and leading DEI at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City. Stephanie has also worked in Human Resources at UMB Financial, H&R Block, Cerner Corporation and Quest Diagnostics. In the community, Stephanie currently works with Jackson County CASA. Lockton, the world’s largest independent brokerage firm, has begun a three-year partnership with Tate, a group of four galleries: Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool and Tate St Ives. This new partnership will focus on three upcoming exhibitions at Tate Britain. From October 2023 it will also support an expanded community programme at Tate Britain. The partnership will allow Lockton and Tate to deliver on their shared agenda of promoting artistic risk-taking, community engagement and access to art for all. Our partnership also means that our UK Associates will get access to the Tate exhibitions and will be an integral part of the relationship. Tate first opened its doors to the public in 1897 with one site. Today it has four major sites and holds the national collection of British art from 1500 to the present day and international art from 1900 to the present day, including nearly 70,000 pieces of art.
