Your Responsibilities
Lockton Companies is currently seeking a results-oriented Senior Account Executive to join the Integrated Absence Solutions (IAS) team. This role is responsible for supporting delivery of Lockton’s IAS service suite for multiple client accounts. Lockton’s IAS services span the end-to-end absence management program life cycle including: plan review and program design, alignment to leading practices, identification of technology and reporting requirements, and ongoing validation of regulatory compliance and vendor performance. You will serve as the lead project manager and day to day contact for large clients, involving the design and management of the full array of group disability benefits and disability management programs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of business acumen, thrive in a fast-paced environment and constantly strive to enhance the overall client experience.
Role:
- Client facing role for complex absence management projects involving short and long term disability benefits, company/state/federal leave programs, life and AD&D benefits, and company time off programs (PTO, parental leave, etc.).
- Sample projects, based on your background and experience, may include:
- Vendor procurement, negotiation, and alternate plan designs
- Current state assessment for internally administered absence management programs
- Disability program benchmarking, including plan analysis, design, and cost savings strategies
- Leave of absence policy reviews
- Analyze employers’ absence management plan documents, SPDs, policies and procedures for compliance, design, and operational improvement opportunities
- Manage vendor implementation or remediation activities with clients to ensure successful transition and communications
- Perform financial analysis of cost/insurance solutions related to employer life, disability and leave programs
- Evaluate HCM/HRIS, Payroll, Timekeeping and Leave administration functions enabling clients’ employee absence programs and recommend process improvements
- Prepare client presentations and reports for internal and external partners
- Work with Lockton’s Client Service Team to assist with client/carrier issue resolution including, but not limited to, complex claims resolution and vendor management
- Build relationships internally and work alongside other subject matter experts to fulfill the needs and expectations of clients
- Mentor and develop junior IAS Associates
- Contribute to the development of new IAS intellectual capital
- Expand and deepen vendor relationships in the leave of absence industry and represent Lockton Companies in the disability marketplace and industry conferences
- Attend lunch and evening events with clients to build ongoing relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (or relative work experience) required, insurance or business-related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the absence management field, specific experience with group disability/life plans and company leave programs
- Strong financial or claim operations skills; prior experience in group disability underwriting or claims management strongly preferred
- Consulting experience at a consulting or brokerage firm or gained at a carrier or vendor is preferred
- Working knowledge in multiple claim processing platforms and technology available in the market including “SaaS”-based solutions, co-sourced integration models and full outsourcing market solutions
- Experience with creation and execution of project plans against plan guidelines
- Demonstrated success in managing client/vendor issues and relationships
- Ability to expand relationships with current clients
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with multiple stakeholders and a proven track record of delivering exceptional client service
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage changing priorities as needed
- Excellent communication, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with proven ability to interact with associates, clients and vendors at all levels of responsibility
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize and scale in a fast-paced environment
- Lean or Six Sigma certification a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel to various client sites and Lockton Offices
- Experience in training/mentoring junior staff
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining
- Legal right to work in the United States
