Global Client Manager – Lockton Global Solutions West
The West Series of Lockton Companies is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded individual to join our growing Global Solutions team. Be a part of an exceptional company voted “Best Places to Work in Insurance” fifteen years running.
Lockton is currently seeking a Global Client Manager in the Lockton Global Solutions Practice who will support complex global clients and be independently and wholly responsible for a separate book of clients. They will build long-term, trusted advisor relationships with their Client Executives, clients, producers, and domestic associates, supporting business growth. The Global Client Manager should always adhere to Lockton’s cultural values, and treat fellow associates, clients and vendors with dignity and respect.
Responsibilities
• Develops a strong understanding of clients’ businesses and uses the knowledge to successfully and professionally anticipate and address their needs; Ability to work independently with clients on routine assignments.
• Architects and executes global client service plans
• Works closely with Global Client Executives to deliver consistent client service
• Establishes standards and best practices in line with client risk management philosophy
• Provides initial market entry, compliance analyses and executes renewal process
• Leadership and development of Global Analysts
• Manage and cultivate internal relationships with other Risk Solutions teams, other associates, and Producers
• Client and Lockton Global communication
Essential Competencies
• Full working coverage knowledge of all lines of business. Specifically, with ownership (both placement and advisory) of the International Casualty product. Collaboration, strategic input and international implementation of other lines of cover, including but not limited to: Property, Marine, Directors and Officers Liability, Crime, Business Travel Accident, Environmental Liability and Professional Liability
• Accountable for all elements of program design, placement, service execution and advisory
• Identifies opportunities to create synergies and reduce frictional costs of global programs
• Monitors and manages daily service coordination and needs
• Can articulate Lockton’s global capabilities, value proposition and differentiators
• Ability to analyze exposures and identify risks, inconsistencies, and accuracy of reported data
• Creates timely and accurate submissions, initial quote comparisons, and coverage reviews
• Post-binding deliverables and implementation, including overseeing the accuracy and reporting of local admitted policies and other global program tracking
• Country Leadership – accountable for relationships with the Lockton teams who are overseas and develops market relationships accountable for carrier performance
Qualifications
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
• Minimum of five (5) years of commercial P&C insurance brokerage and/or commercial lines account handling experience. At least two (2) years of experience preferred developing coverage solutions for multinational companies on a worldwide basis, including placing cover outside of the US.
• Knowledge of Commercial Property and Casualty coverage products and marketplace
• Ability to market and service multinational programs through an in-depth understanding of commercial insurance rating concepts
• Working knowledge of regulatory landscape and nuances of placing local foreign coverages
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to successfully present data
• Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills
• Focused on personal and team development with the ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed
• Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company information
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking and negotiation skills
• Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours to effectively service client and/or business needs
• Ability to travel both domestically and abroad, as needed/requested
• Legally able to work in the United States
