Your Responsibilities

Summary

Responsible for supporting the day to day client management and administrative activities for assigned book of business.  Maintains a working relationship with primary contact for client.  Conversant in aspects of client health and benefits lifecycle.


Job Competencies:

•    Business Insight: Understands basic business and financial concepts and their impact.  Forms insights based on client needs by synthesizing information from various sources. Working knowledge of all H&W areas.
•    Customer Focus: Stays up to date on client information (business climate, environment, people, processes), asks questions to get to know client, searches marketplace for vendors that will fit client needs, educates clients on best practices.
•    Demonstrates, Self-awareness & Develops Self: Solicits and accepts coaching and feedback to improve own performance, has awareness of own culture, takes accountability for own development, is curious.
•    Action Oriented: Consistently performs responsibilities to best of ability, prioritizes work according to needs, timely response, independently delivering quality work, actively seeks additional knowledge, takes initiative.
•    Collaborates within teams: Contributes to goal accomplishment, asks for help and encourages involvement, informs others on team, models’ commitment.
•    Communicates Effectively & Listens Actively: Speaks and writes clearly and concisely, maintains attention, adjusts to the listener, listens actively and ensures understanding.


Responsibilities:

•    Assists in the servicing of a designated book of business as relating to marketing, claims, and administration
•    Researches issues’ root cause, implements, and resolves policy related issues
•    Uses discretion and independent judgment when analyzing industry trends and providing related Client guidance.
•    Recommends and implements potential enhancements or improvements to processes, products, and/or policies with oversight from senior team members
•    Assists in the preparation of financial models and reports for Client and senior staff, provides interpretation and implication of analysis, as well as recommendations
•    Conducts, creates, and interprets benefit benchmarking studies, design plan comparison reports, and Client marketing materials
•    Interprets Clients’ current coverage plan and identifies and recommends opportunities to expand lines of coverage
•    Participates in negotiations with carriers for new and renewal quotes
•    Assists in interpreting and evaluating plan offerings to ensure adequate coverage for Client’s identified risk tolerance
•    Establishes and maintains relationships and interfaces with Clients, carriers, and other vendors
•    Identifies gaps in coverage or cross-sell opportunities and provides related recommendations to senior team members.
•    Researches and understands industry trends and Carrier product offerings, emerging trends
•    Supports team in tracking project progress and timelines, maintaining client files, populating and maintaining open item trackers.
•    Provides BenefitPoint management for client information, interfaces with others where appropriate.
•    Understands governmental compliance/regulations to educate Clients
•    Performs other responsibilities and duties as needed

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or years of experience equivalent
•    Typically, 2-4 years of Client services experience is required
•    Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
•    Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
•    Demonstrates working knowledge and experience within brokerage industry
•    Possesses a working knowledge of support services, including benefits administration, wellbeing solutions, compliance standards
•    Understands industry trends and governmental regulations
•    Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed
•    Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required, including industry training sessions
•    Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of Client and company information
•    Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time to meet deadlines
•    Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
•    Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, calculator, and photocopier.
•    Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged amount of time
•    Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
•    Legally able to work in the United States
