Your Responsibilities
The Senior Account Specialist (SAS) is embedded within a Risk Solutions Unit and provides support throughout the client renewal and new business onboarding process. As a key member of the team, the SAS will actively participate in training programs to build technical coverage acumen and learn insurance brokering. Senior Account Specialists work alongside members of the account team in client consulting to meet risk management needs and positively impact the work we do for our clients. Together they experience Lockton’s caring diverse culture and at the same time, grow their professional skills for advancement.
Expected Contributions
- Completion of the Midwest Coverage Training Program (Phase 1 and Phase 2)
- Supports various Lockton teams for an optimal client experience
- Delivers transactional excellence and provides outstanding customer service in support of the broader client team
- Conveys standards of excellence in line with Lockton’s operating procedures by adhering to standardized policies, processes, and systems
- Is an integral part of day-to-day client servicing encompassing strong client and carrier communication
- Makes a positive contribution to client satisfaction and constantly strives to improve service to the clients
- Masters the renewal guide tasks associated with the SAS role
- Partners with the account team during the client servicing cycle and proactively completes all SAS tasks to meet deadlines
- Provides support on key client post-renewal deliverables upon binding
- Executes all changes requested on the program during the policy term, monitors receipt of the policy and endorsements, and validates accuracy
- Communicates in a professional manner to contribute to a cohesive, pleasant work environment
- Protects the confidentiality of information learned by performing the duties of the position
- Handles special projects as assigned

Qualifications
- Associates who have started at Lockton as an Account Specialist or those with 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience required
- Ability to represent Lockton with integrity and professionalism at all times
- Strong customer service, communication, and project management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy of work product
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize work and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Lifelong learner who is excited by a challenge and looking for consistent personal and professional growth
- Willingness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in insurance industry through extended insurance education
- Proficiency in Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
