Your Responsibilities

This role supports the growth, evolution and maintenance of business applications used by Lockton’s associates to broker insurance solutions, and support operations on behalf of its Employer clients. The role will utilize skills in Computer Science and/or Engineering, Product and Project Management, to provide subject matter expertise, and consultative partnership to Lockton Center and Series associates, by identifying and deploying technology solutions to business problems.


This role works closely with Lockton’s Business Information Officer, People Solutions Resource Group, National Practices, Series, IT DevOps & Data Services teams, Agency Management, CRM, Managed Services and Technology vendors, to identify requirements to existing applications, as well as new, prospective technology solutions, and frameworks that support growth, scalability, and operations efficiency objectives. 


The Technical Product Manager will help convert requirements into actionable user stories that are assigned to developers – both internal and managed services vendors, oversee and communicate schedule and quality risks to stakeholders.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the Lockton business model, and how technology solutions support the company’s growth goals, while optimizing operations  
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business applications, APIs, and environments supporting Lockton’s applications and technologies
  • Analyze requests to enhance Lockton’s suite of consulting applications, and work with Development teams to secure resources, clarify business requirements, validate solution design, co-ordinate test and deployment activities
  • Stay current with new and emerging technologies to support the evolving needs of the business
  • Establish strong relationships with Business partners, Application Development teams, Project Managers and other leaders at Lockton
Qualification Icon

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and prior experience using Insurance Agency Management Systems such as Benefit Point preferred
  • Experience providing consultative services in the Employee Benefits industry a plus
  • Demonstrates analytical, logical and creative thinking to solve problems
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Team player with ability to work in a matrixed environment, with multiple solution vendors
  • Demonstrates a passion for continuous learning and development
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related experience

Matt Chastain has called Lockton home since he began his career as an entry-level Benefits Analyst 10 years ago. He is now a Unit Manager in the St. Louis office. Matt attributes his growth over the last 10 years to strong mentors and leadership. “Leadership within our Series has always conveyed confidence, even as I developed mine. I’ve viewed my mistakes as learning opportunities and have become progressively more effective with each speedbump.”  Reflecting on his career, Matt highlights how Lockton’s culture fosters personal and professional development. Making a difference:...
Graham Turville-Ince's commitment to the Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) is more than a passion - it's a mission to create meaningful change. His dedication began at CPA's Randwick Race Day, where he met a 6-year-old girl whose life was transformed by early intervention programs. "Her progress was remarkable, and seeing her parents' strength, especially with a second child also affected by cerebral palsy, left a lasting impression," Graham shared.  This experience fueled his ongoing involvement. From volunteering at CPA's headquarters in Sydney to raising over $6,000 through the STEPtember challenge, where he took over one million steps to support the cause, Graham continues to raise funds and awareness for CPA. He also works to inspire others, whether colleagues or clients, to join in advocating for CPA's mission.  Graham's efforts were recently recognised with Lockton's prestigious Community Impact Award. Funded by the Lockton family, this honour celebrates Associates making a difference in their communities through volunteering and philanthropy. The award includes a USD 25,000 donation for the recipient's charity of choice, which Graham directed to CPA. "Presenting that cheque, knowing the impact it will make, was an unforgettable moment," he said. "I felt genuinely humbled. It's incredible to be recognised alongside many passionate and impactful colleagues."  The donation will go to providing vital therapy, respite services and a number of other programs for people living with cerebral palsy and their families. Lockton's caring culture played a critical role in Graham's ability to support CPA, allowing him to lead by example at work and in the community. "From hands-on charity days to backing vetted causes, the encouragement from my team is invaluable."  Looking ahead, Graham is determined to expand his advocacy efforts for CPA. He's working on transitioning fundraising events from his previous involvement with Oxfam to CPA and aims to inspire his professional network to support this vital cause. "Collaboration is key, whether it's colleagues, clients, or other organisations," he said.  Graham remains focused on expanding CPA's impact, inspiring action within his networks, and driving lasting change.
