About the Position
Lockton is currently seeking a highly motivated, analytical expert to join our Houston Lender Review Team! If you enjoy the challenge of research, problem solving and executing tasks that positively impact our day-to-day operations and support our overall business strategies – Apply Today!
Your Responsibilities
- Analyze insurance, lending, corporate documents, as well as contracts and lending requirements.
- Assess and interpret exposure information from the Client/borrower to ensure all meet lending requirements.
- Interpret and evaluate policy terms to ensure adequate coverage to meet lending requirements.
- Author high-quality detailed reports outlining findings, red flags/issues, recommendations and coverages for Real Estate, Real Estate Construction and Corporate Finance transactions.
- Advise on coverage recommendations to clients, borrowers and outside brokers.
- Peer review junior-level associate’s reports as needed.
- Mentor and be a resource for junior-level associates as needed.
- Attend and occasionally lead departmental meetings.
- Conduct coverage research and collaborate with internal resources, as well as research and understand industry trends.
- Make a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service to the customer.
- Service visits to clients may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related program preferred or equivalent education and/or experience required.
- Three to Five plus years of insurance experience.
- Two plus years as Lender Review Analyst or high-level client service experience in a sales environment.
- P&C Insurance License.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail required.
- High aptitude for accuracy in mathematical calculations.
- Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision-making.
- Willingness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in the insurance industry by completing extended insurance education beyond continuing education requirements for licensing.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet time-sensitive deadlines required.
- Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed.
- Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to interact with associates at all levels of responsibility, along with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
- Stays current on issues impacting the industry by maintaining expertise in a functional area.
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours as needed.
- Legally able to work in the United States.
