Paige Hayes knows the life-changing power of hearing. Her daughter, MaKenzie, was born deaf and wore hearing aids for most of her life. Thanks to the support of the Dallas Hearing Foundation and its donors, MaKenzie received a cochlear implant—an experience that transformed both of their lives.

“Being involved with the Dallas Hearing Foundation has deeply enriched my life,” said Paige. “Seeing firsthand how the organization changes lives — including my own daughter’s — has given me a profound sense of gratitude and perspective. It’s reminded me daily of the power of compassion, technology, and community working together to restore something as fundamental as hearing.”

Paige's continued dedication earned her a 2025 Lockton Cares Community Impact Award. The Community Impact Awards honor Lockton Associates across the globe who go above and beyond to improve their communities through volunteering and philanthropy. Each recipient can direct a $25,000 donation to a charity of their choice, funded directly by the Lockton family.

“I was completely overwhelmed when I found out I was a recipient,” she shared. “It was a mix of shock, excitement, and deep gratitude knowing how meaningful it would be to use this blessing to make a real difference.”

The $25,000 donation will fund life-changing surgeries, support post-implant rehabilitation, and empower families with resources and hope.

“It wasn’t just winning the money; it was a full circle moment," she said. “We now have the opportunity to pay it forward and help another family receive the gift of hearing.”

Today, Paige continues to share MaKenzie’s success story to inspire other families and raise awareness about the importance of early hearing intervention. She’s committed to helping others access the same support that changed her daughter’s life.
