Your Responsibilities
Are you passionate about sales and eager to drive growth in a fast-paced corporate environment? Lockton, the world's largest independent insurance brokerage, is looking for a driven Business Development Executive to join our Professional and Executive Risks division, based in Bristol.
As part of our growing team, you’ll play a key role in generating new business and building lasting relationships with potential clients, all while receiving top-tier training and support to enhance your sales skills and career development. This is the perfect role for someone looking to continue or ready to kickstart their career in insurance business development, with exciting opportunities to grow and advance.
Your role:
- Outbound sales & lead generation: You'll actively engage with professional businesses across the UK, identifying new partnership opportunities, understanding the requirement and complexities of each prospect, and delivering focussed re-engagement with prospective clients.
- Relationship building: Develop rapport over the phone and transition to face-to-face meetings with prospective clients, including identifying tailored approaches to open doors for our experienced practitioners.
- Sales-focused goals: Work towards achieving measurable targets and contribute to the growth of the business.
Qualifications
You will be:
- A motivated self-starter: You're driven to succeed, enjoy the challenge of new business development, and demonstrate resilience when faced with a challenge.
- A great communicator: You excel in speaking with people, whether over the phone or via email, and you're not deterred by rejection – you know how to keep the conversation flowing and turn it into an opportunity.
- Ready for growth: Whether you have prior insurance experience or not, you’re looking to build a strengthen and hone your sales technique with the support and guidance of your team.
This role will be based in our Bristol office with home-working options.
