Your Responsibilities
Overview:
Lockton Companies is seeking an experienced Senior Designer to advance the look and feel of People Solutions material within the Lockton brand identity. The People Solutions Senior Designer will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of marketing materials and creating visually appealing designs that align with the brand identity.
This position serves as a Lockton brand ambassador and design expert. Key skills for this role include proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite; a strong understanding of color theory and typography; an ability to create cohesive branding and design guidelines; experience in designing marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, and digital assets; and has excellent communication and project management skills.
As the People Solutions Senior Designer, you will be the go-to person for all design-related inquiries and tasks. Your expertise in carrying a consistent brand image across various marketing channels will help drive brand awareness and client engagement. Your role will involve collaborating with the People Solutions business and marketing teams to coordinate and develop marketing material that appeals to U.S. employers and group health plan sponsors, while ensuring consistent design across all channels. Responsibilities:
• Creates and maintains People Solutions material to ensure current and accurate information.
• Serves as internal creative consultant for the People Solutions business.
• Implements best practices for Lockton’s design technique and application for design teams across the Lockton Series.
• Creates new and updates existing design procedures and best practices by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and implementing change when needed.
• Keeps abreast of technical changes in the design field and associated software by attending relevant workshops, reviewing technical publications, and training resources provided.
• Communicates graphic design trends and product release updates to design teams across the Lockton Series.
• Keeps abreast of ongoing corporate initiatives and potential brand, design, and technical issues.
• Provides design expertise and input for the People Solutions business and provides available resources for initiative implementation.
• Reviews design work product for visual appeal and brand compliance.
• Partner with third-party creative agencies and provide direction for special projects, as needed.
• Quickly update content and collateral and remove old/outdated materials.
• Maintain branding consistency across channels.
• Prioritize and complete special projects as assigned.
• Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others.
• All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and /or targets established.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the creative arts/graphic design field.
• Experience working with print house vendors regarding print specifications, color management, and print quality press checks.
• Substantial skill using graphic design, imaging, video, and presentation software.
• Exceptional ability to demonstrate creativity and exercise latitude under short time frame constraints.
• Serve as the internal graphic design resource, providing solutions to technical issues and reviewing work product to provide guidance to ensure team members provide visually appealing products to internal clients and uphold Lockton’s Global Identity Guidelines.
• Must have an expert knowledge of InDesign, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of fonts and technical applications.
• Ability to be a team player and assist other Associates.
• Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize a heavy individual workload to meet required deadlines.
• Ability to produce a large volume of creative, artistic products in a demanding environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
• Ability to delegate and manage project to completion.
• Highly self-motivated with ability to balance on-going administrative tasks and new design concepts.
• Understand basic marketing principles and ability to think critically about content effectiveness as it relates to layout.
• High-level verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility.
• Ability to generate and manipulate graphic images, animations, sound, text, and video into consolidated and seamless multimedia programs.
• Exemplary ability to use graphic and Web design concepts and elements of design to create visually pleasing products to meet end-user design specifications.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization to capture design requirements and elements for collateral materials with minimal rework involvement.
• Desire and ability to expand knowledge and effectiveness in the graphic arts area by successful completion of extended classes and workshops related to graphic arts.
