Your Responsibilities
Principal Solutions Engineer is responsible for Solutioning, Architecture, designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft Azure & Databricks platform. This role involves working with various data services and tools to ensure efficient data processing, storage, and analysis. Work with various Business and Data/Analytics/Digital team Stakeholders to understand the business goals, product needs.
Solution Design: Develop and maintain a scalable Azure/Databricks data architecture, ensuring it aligns with business strategy and industry best practices.
Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data streams.
Data Integration: Design and implement data integration solutions, including ETL processes, to consolidate data from various sources.
Data Storage Solutions: Develop and manage warehousing, data lakes, and other data storage solutions using Azure services.
Data Processing: Use data technologies like Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Azure advanced analytics tools like open AI to process and analyze large datasets.
Security and Compliance: Ensure data solutions comply with security and privacy regulations, implementing necessary measures to protect data.
Innovation: Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and industry trends to continuously improve data architecture.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with business partners, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
Engagement: Work closely with Lockton product leads to understand business goals and technical needs, ensuring optimal use of the Azure/Databricks platform.
Performance Optimization: Help solutions/products optimize performance for large-scale data processing, streaming, and machine learning workflows on Databricks.
Training and Mentorship: Guide stakeholders and internal teams on best practices in data engineering, machine learning, and AI using Azure/Databricks.
Strategy: Help the org identify business needs, define GTM Data strategy, and execute that strategy
Work closely with other stakeholders to optimize and automate Azure deployments utilizing PowerShell, Azure DevOps repositories and pipelines
Gather and analyze proposed solutions in Azure Databricks.
Lead efforts in crafting innovative solutions that follow industry best practices
Lead the efforts to enhance and improve the performance of all the implemented applications.
Be instrumental in promoting best practices for optimizing Azure resources to align with the priorities of the organization.
Qualifications
Big Data Tools: Strong experience with big data tools like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Delta Lake.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to other cloud platforms.
Experience with advanced analytics and AI tools.
Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
Relevant Databricks or Azure Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Engineer).
Experience in the financial services or Insurance
