Your Responsibilities
Lockton is currently seeking an analytical thinker, who has experience in handling large casualty risk control, to join our growing Risk Consulting Team. As a trusted resource for our clients and associates, the Casualty Risk Control Consultant will provide loss control and risk management solutions across industry verticals supporting client’s cost of risk reduction strategies. The consultant will partner with broking, analytics, and claim team members to advance clients' risk management of workers’ compensation, general liability, and fleet exposures.
Core Responsibilities:
- Utilize loss analyses and qualitative reviews to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in client’s financial and operational results.
- Conduct risk assessments with a focus on operational improvement and financial exposure mitigation.
- Develop and implement risk management and injury prevention strategies and supporting tactical plans to control risk.
- Work collaboratively within teams including casualty claims, analytics and broking to execute initiatives for pre and post loss strategies
- Partner with insurance carrier resources to support client risk strategies
- Use project management skills to assure goals and objectives are appropriate and aligned with services delivered to exceed client expectations
- Advance new business and client retention through an understanding of client needs, risk control service offerings; and articulate conceptual strategies to control exposures and costs.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years in insurance/safety/risk management consultation or comparable industry experience.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Safety, Financial, Engineering, or related.
- Professional designations preferred (i.e., CSP, CPE, ARM, CIH, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- An ability to manage time, prioritize and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality
- An entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to continually expand knowledge of across industry verticals and all associated insurance lines and grow within the company
- Effective interpersonal, writing, and other communication skills required to develop and maintain relationships with clients, peers, and industry contacts.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with heavy attention to detail.
- Proficiency using technology platform for analytics, communication and collaboration including Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PowerBI) required
- High degree of self-motivation and discipline is necessary
- Experience in project management and handling of complex, large casualty exposures across industry verticals.
- Experience in implementing risk management best practices.
- Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
- Legally able to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship, now or in the future
