Position Overview
Lockton Northeast People Solutions (Employee Benefits) Practice is currently seeking an experienced professional responsible for providing consulting services in the population health and well-being area. This role will provide strategic health risk consulting for Lockton Northeast clients as well as manage day-to-day execution.
Core Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Precision Health (PH) team to develop long term, customized worksite health risk management and health promotion programs for employer clients through analysis of a client’s demographics, health culture, health claims, prevalent disease states and other factors impacting the client’s health care costs.
- Serve as hands-on population health and well-being expert; prepare and review project deliverables to be sure they meet client’s objectives and project requirements.
- Work directly with employer clients and the Lockton client service teams to assist employers in identifying key disease states within their employee population and develop recommendations for the employer to address these issues.
- Create long term health promotion programs for the employees; assist in identifying and assessing resources to provide the programs; coordinate and monitor the performance of all outsourced vendors; monitor and report on results.
- Maintain project plans for client projects and program implementations.
- Maintain a solid knowledge of all population health and access to care vendors and carrier capabilities and programs; keep associates updated on advantages, disadvantages, target markets, and pricing. Maintain and update a vendor/carrier comparative tool.
· Develop PPT presentations and present Lockton’s Precision Health Services to clients and prospective clients.
- Meet regularly with clients and Lockton’s client service teams to support and evaluate ongoing programs. Attend regular client/vendors calls or meetings to ensure vendors are delivering on expectations.
- Evaluate and coordinate vendors for health assessments, biometric screenings, care/disease management, wellness programs, as well as other population health management vendors; suggest those best able to assist in implementation of wellness plans based on clients’ needs.
- Analyze clients’ population health data to provide recommendations for strategies and solutions that impact trends, risks, and gaps in care. Provide periodic reports to clients, assessing results of in-place programs.
- Prepare case studies, articles, and other supporting documents to demonstrate the need for and potential outcome of suggested programs.
- Develop incentive program structures and engagement strategies for employers to increase employee participation in worksite health promotion programs.
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of the regulatory issues impacting worksite health promotion programs, including the appropriate and legal approaches to employee incentive programs.
- Develop toolkits, resources, and collateral to support wellness offerings for our clients with the support of Lockton Northeast graphics/communications team
- Travel as needed to client worksites usually near the relevant office. Occasional travel for remote and prospective clients may occur anywhere in the U.S.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business related or healthcare field required
- Minimum of five or more years of consulting experience in the Population Health and Well-being field and worksite health promotion programs
- Ability and willingness to travel as necessary to visit Lockton clients and prospective clients.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
- Strong working knowledge of the worksite wellness industry.
- Must be able to make oral presentations, alone or as a team member, and have experience with analyzing health care data and presenting findings to clients.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines required. Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed.
- Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with associates at all levels of responsibility, along with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability/willingness to interact with clients, vendors, and insurance carriers on a professional level to address issues that produce the best results promptly.
- The consultant ideally lives near one of the Lockton offices in the Northeast Series: West Hartford, CT, Boston, MA, New York, NY (Midtown), Philadelphia, PA (Center City or Conshohocken), or D.C. area (McLean, VA, or Washington D.C.).
