About the Position
Lockton is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Construction Account Executive to join our Dallas Construction Team. This role is ideal for a self-starter with deep experience in the construction industry and a passion for delivering strategic risk management solutions. As the primary client contact, you’ll lead the charge in managing complex construction accounts, building long-term relationships, and delivering exceptional service and insight.

Your Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic advisor and primary point of contact for construction clients, ensuring exceptional service and proactive communication.
- Understand the unique risks, operations, and insurance needs of construction clients, including general contractors, subcontractors, and developers.
- Lead the development and execution of risk management strategies tailored to the construction industry.
- Manage the full renewal process, including marketing, carrier negotiations, and program design.
- Analyze and present insurance program options, including coverage comparisons, cost analysis, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve complex client issues and claims.
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers, underwriters, and industry partners to ensure competitive and innovative solutions.
- Identify opportunities for program enhancements, cross-selling, and organic growth within existing accounts.
- Mentor and support junior team members, sharing construction-specific knowledge and best practices.
- Stay current on construction industry trends, regulatory changes, and insurance market developments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Construction Management, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction insurance brokerage, underwriting, or account management.
- Strong knowledge of construction-related coverages, including Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Builder’s Risk, Umbrella/Excess, and Professional Liability.
- Industry designations such as CRIS, CPCU, ARM are highly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage complex accounts and deliver strategic risk solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support client relationships and business development.
