Your Responsibilities
The Associate Account Executive is one of the primary business contacts for Clients and is responsible for possessing and applying knowledge of industry trends and related regulations while servicing Clients’ accounts in an innovative and efficient manner. This position will service and market the needs of Lockton clients to maximize company revenue and shall also develop and maintain favorable internal and external relationships, with the end goal of providing the highest level of customer service by meeting or exceeding industry standards.
Position responsibilities
When acting in the Associate AE Role the individual will be responsible for the following duties with oversight from a senior level AE:
• Create with the Account Executive a business strategy, including feasibility studies, financial modeling, identification of coverage needs, carrier market identification and service needs
• Identification of the team who will be overseeing the client project or account through discussions within the business unit
• Understand and perform marketing and account services to provide the broadest and most competitive quality product for Lockton clients
• Coordinate marketing strategies and selection for prospects and existing business, and maintain communication with the account team during the entire marketing process to protect current business and secure new business
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients to provide the best possible service on a timely basis. Demonstrate the ability to instill confidence and comfort with the client
• Coordinate the team in terms of delivery of services for the client
• May assist collection supervisor and Producer in collection efforts
• Responsible for the preparation and delivery of client reports, including quarterly or annual stewardship reports where provided for our clients
• Accumulate required continuing education credits to maintain current insurance license
• Perform tasks not assigned to the Account Administrator or Account Manager
• Partner with the service team, including the Account Administrator and Account Manager
• Coordinate initial account communication directly with Owner (client) and/or GC, review and affirm the Project Insurance Manual to Contract Documents, processes for enrollment and bidding instruction, and provide project documentation to the client and their GC such as Sample Contractual Language, Bid Packets, PIM templates or other similar information to minimize the workload of the client and their project team
• Provides and works with the Account Executive on contract and lending reviews; documents such as PSAs, Crane Swing Agreement, Easements, Lending requirements, or other contracts related to their construction
• Oversee the CIP Administration process from kick-off to close-out including participation in project conference calls, kick-off meeting. Ensure compliance to the services provided for in any Lockton Service Agreement. Works with the CIP and Account Administrator to obtain contractor deductions, close out information for audits and provide project reports to the client
• Support the CIP Administration from a carrier and coverage perspective by answering coverage or contractor/subcontractor inquiries
• Oversees the Program/Project Administration during the course of construction.
• Keep abreast of market conditions and new products
When acting in the AM role the individual shall be responsible for the following:
Perform the following tasks for the marketing of current client business with appropriate assistance/supervision from the Account Executive, Unit Manager, or Department Manager:
• Provide for notice and involvement of Producer in primary communications such as binding, extensions, or changes in policy terms where an Account Executive is not involved
• Prepare as is deemed needed exposure checklist(s) / risk matrix / analyses
• Create/update coverage specifications
• Deliver/present submissions to markets and participate in negotiations
• Review quotes and prepare proposal
• Participate in renewal presentation to client
• Bind coverage with underwriters prior to expiration
• Prepare bind order/instructions for order to company
• Prepare summaries, complete final policy checks, and close items to discuss

• Analyze situations, identify problems, recommend solutions, and evaluate outcomes.
• Respond in a timely manner to the requests and needs of clients and Lockton associates
• Make a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service to the customer
• Communicate in a positive manner to contribute to a cohesive, pleasant work environment. Motivate, instruct, and promote teamwork and associate development
• Make decisions in compliance with established Lockton standards of quality performance and service
• Attend company and department meetings, position-related seminars/classes, carrier functions, and social events as required
• Coordinates the utilization of all appropriate resources on team to address client needs
• Creates and communicates teams’ goals that are aligned to corporate imperatives and ensures milestones are being met by team
• Conducts, communicates, and submits annual performance reviews in a timely manner
• May be responsible for budgetary planning and adherence
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Position qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or years of experience equivalent
• Typically, five or more years of Client services experience is required
• Demonstrates strong working knowledge and experience within brokerage industry
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Strong attention to detail required
• Understands industry trends and governmental regulations
• Ability to attend industry training sessions
• Readiness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in the insurance industry by successful completion of extended insurance education beyond continuing education requirements as needed
• Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting the confidentiality of client and company information
• Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, project team members, and associates at all levels of responsibility, representing Lockton in the highest professional manor
• Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and be away from home more than one day and night
• Ability to work outside of regular business hours
• Legally able to work in the United States
This position may be eligible for annual discretionary bonus consideration.
