Your Responsibilities
The Senior Cyber Claims Advocate is a senior technical leader responsible for delivering strategic oversight, advanced claims advocacy, and consistent execution of cyber, tech E&O, MPL and Media claims across the U.S. business. This individual will act as an escalation point for complex and high-severity claims, while also serving as a force multiplier to Series Claims Advocates, driving consistency, technical excellence, and market leadership.
This role bridges national cyber claims strategy and Series-level execution, ensuring a uniform, high-quality client experience and reinforcing Lockton’s cyber claims brand.
Core Responsibilities
• Serve as the escalation point for complex, high-severity, and disputed cyber, tech E&O, MPL and Media claims across assigned Series
• Provide coverage interpretation leadership across cyber, tech E&O, MPL, Media, and related policies
• Lead development of claim strategy, including coverage analysis, carrier engagement, litigation strategy, and settlement positioning
• Lead and support complex carrier negotiations including denials, reservations of rights, and contribution disputes
• Act as a force multiplier to Series Claims Advocates by providing technical guidance, coaching, and quality control
• Enable cross-Series capacity sharing and provide backup advocacy support as needed
• Drive consistency and governance in claims handling, escalation protocols, and coverage interpretation
• Support high-exposure claims involving litigation and complex coverage issues
• Contribute to thought leadership, training, and client-facing content
• Support development of cyber claims training programs and mentor junior team members
• Collaborate with consulting teams and manage incident response vendor relationships
• Enhance data quality, reporting, and claims analytics
Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in cyber claims, professional liability, or complex insurance claims advocacy
• Deep expertise in cyber insurance, tech E&O, MPL, and media liability
• Strong experience handling ransomware, data breach, and emerging AI-related exposures
• Proven ability to lead complex negotiations and maximize claim outcomes
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor and develop teams
• Strong collaboration skills across brokers, carriers, and legal counsel
