Your Responsibilities
The IT Chief of Staff partners closely with the Global CIO to ensure seamless execution of strategic and day to day initiatives across the IT organization. This role serves as an extension of the CIO’s office—managing priorities, driving cross functional alignment, and stepping in when the CIO is unavailable. The ideal candidate is highly organized, an excellent communicator, diplomatic and adept at translating executive directives into clear, actionable plans that advance our technology roadmap and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executive Support & Liaison
- Serve as primary point of contact for the Global CIO’s office, managing organizational tasks, briefing materials, and follow up actions.
- Represent the CIO in meetings, forums, and decision making sessions when the CIO is unavailable.
- Assimilate information from the IT functions into a common consistent view for the organization.
- Draft executive communications (presentations, reports, talking points) and ensure timely distribution to stakeholders.
- Proactively anticipate emerging needs with operations, programs, and IT global initiatives.
Program & Project Coordination
- Track and drive progress on high impact IT projects, consolidating status updates and escalating risks or roadblocks.
- Partner with IT leadership (IT Operations, Security, Application Development, Architecture, PMO, regional CIOs etc.) to translate CIO directives into project plans and assignments.
- Facilitate cross team workshops and working sessions to align priorities, deliverables, and success metrics driving to a common path forward.
- Strategic Planning & Analysis
- Collaborate on the development of the annual IT strategic plan, including goal setting, resource alignment, and performance measurement.
- Conduct research and analysis on emerging technologies, industry benchmarks, and governance practices to inform CIO decisions.
- Plugin to key dashboards and scorecards (budget vs. actuals, project health, organizational KPIs) for executive review.
- Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Identify process gaps and operational inefficiencies within the CIO office or broader IT functions; design and implement improvement initiatives.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts (e.g., standard operating procedures, RACI matrices, escalation protocols) to enhance organizational agility.
- Coordinate quarterly business reviews and steering committees, ensuring clear agendas, action logs, and communication.
- Provide follow-up on tasks and drive to closure.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Develop and build relationships with the regional IT leaders and CIO’s across the globe.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders, external partners, and other functional stakeholders to foster collaboration and drive change.
- Manage communications for critical IT announcements, organizational changes, and program launches.
- Ensure transparency of IT priorities, progress, and outcomes through regular updates and executive summaries.
Qualifications
- Associate/bachelor’s degree in information technology or business administration or equivalent experience.
- Progressive experience in a strategic operation, project management, or chief of staff capacity within large, complex organizations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, agendas, and confidential information with discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and deliver results with minimal direction.
- Ability to bring groups together and drive to agreement.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data driven decision making and KPI/reporting frameworks.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to executive audiences.
- Demonstrated success in driving cross functional projects to completion under tight deadlines.
- High emotional intelligence, collaboration mindset, and the ability to build trust quickly.
