Your Responsibilities
Lockton is currently seeking a highly analytical forward thinker, who is passionate about providing exceptional service and support throughout the life cycle of the claims process. The Financial Lines Claims Advocate provides technical expertise and advocacy for clients in the event of a claim. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Manage claim process from notification to settlement and recovery, including the investigation, negotiation, and resolution of complex issues and/or litigation
- Ensure claims are analyzed for coverage, adjusted, and paid properly, consistent with the applicable insurance policy.
- Proactive communication with client and/or prospects; identifying and managing expectations of all parties involved in the claim to include client,
- Lockton account team and carrier partner team members
- Assist with coverage and policy analysis, issues/disputes and other claims challenges
- Identify and engage with valued vendor partners, legal partners and breach response firms
- Serve as a professional liaison with carrier partners on claims issues and advocate for client through the knowledge of coverage and claims best practices
- Participate in new business opportunities, identify cross-selling opportunities, and demonstrate Lockton service values
- Review and analyze claim reports to identify and address trends to develop and implement strategies to best serve our client’s needs and correct adverse trends
- Assist with claims processing and administration
- Additional tasks, as requested by leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field; or equivalent education and work experience
- Prior experience in managing and handling of financial lines or property and casualty claims, including as a claims advocate is a plus
- Strong knowledge and ability to demonstrate technical expertise in the claims handling process, including litigation
- Developed analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate high level claims scenarios that may impact client or prospects
- High level of business acumen and negotiation skills
- Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
- Understands industry trends and governmental regulations
- Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of Client and company information
- Legally able to work in the United States and not require sponsorship now or in the future
