Your Responsibilities
Overview
We are seeking an Account Executive (or Senior Account Executive depending on experience level) with 5–10 years of relevant insurance industry experience to join our Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI) Team. This role combines strategic leadership and technical SDI expertise, focusing on managing a portfolio of SDI clients, delivering exceptional service, supporting business development, and providing consultative guidance. The position includes participation in a structured career development program designed to support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and service a dedicated SDI book of business
- Advise clients on subcontractor default risk management strategies
- Lead marketing, negotiation, and placement of SDI policies
- Oversee program administration, including project enrollments and capacity monitoring
- Support clients through SDI claims and coordinate with carriers
- Deliver internal and external training on subcontractor default risk as needed
- Ensure accuracy in program documentation and exposure data
- Monitor industry trends and carrier relationships
- Attend industry conferences and present on SDI-related topics
- Provide strategic planning and consulting advice including RFP production and vendor coordination
- Assist in establishing and attaining revenue goals for existing and new business
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, broker networks, and other providers
- Coordinate market selection for new and renewal business
- Mentor and train junior-level staff
- Research and understand industry trends, product development, and regulations
- Resolve accounting and administrative issues as needed

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, insurance, business administration, or related field preferred
- 5–10 years of experience in SDI or construction insurance (brokerage or underwriting)
- Experience in construction project management, risk management, surety, legal, or finance is applicable
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to comply with company policies and protect confidentiality of client and company information
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods and use standard office equipment
