Your Responsibilities

•    Platform Architect will own the Lockton Salesforce Cloud architecture responsibility for a portfolio of products and solutions built on Salesforce and MuleSoft.
•    Platform Architect will bring expertise to advise product teams to architect, build and deploy next generation Salesforce architecture solutions.
•    Platform Architect will be the go-to person for Salesforce Architecture supporting a broad portfolio of Lockton’s application, data & integration needs.
•    Platform Architect must be able to communicate ideas and share information with executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources across various teams clearly and concisely. 
•    Platform Architect role will work to set and align Platform architecture direction with business strategies.
•    Platform Architect will lead the Salesforce Center of Excellence team in maintaining the Salesforce platform and projects/products which are built off this platform.


Key Responsibilities

•    Create reference architecture patterns for various application and data workloads that are reusable in similar new projects across Lockton.
•    Helps create standards and governance of Salesforce and MuleSoft Platforms standards and strategies.
•    Design efficient, secure, adaptable, scalable, and reliable solutions that include integration with Azure and AWS infrastructure and platform services (data, networking, application).
•    Ability to lead requirements gathering sessions with clients and bring new insights, ideas, and best practices into discussions
•    Provide guidance and help with writing up requirements for the development teams
•    Design and implement data structures, flows, processes, and declarative setup.
•    Act as a liaison and stay on top of service updates provided by solution providers and coordinate with product teams on possible impact and remediation. 
•    Optimize Salesforce and preferably MuleSoft cloud architecture for security, cost optimization, stability, and monitoring.
•    Work with DevOps team and Cloud Architect to build the monitoring and alerting system for different cloud services used by Salesforce applications.
•    Analyzes and suggests technical approaches to address challenging development and integration problems with Salesforce applications and MuleSoft APIs.
•    Partner with InfoSec team to ensure security controls are embedded into the architecture/designs.
•    Assists project teams in understanding and meeting cloud requirements and support vendor/product cloud-based selection activities including completing Request for Proposal (RFP) and Security/Compliance Audits.

Qualifications

•    BS or higher degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
•    10+ years of business process/technical experience
•    3+ years of experience in Salesforce Architect or similar role
•    Deep knowledge of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, and Marketing Clouds, as well as the Force.com Platform
•    Extensive experience with Salesforce configuration, including workflows, validation rules, Process Builder, and security controls
•    Experience defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed Salesforce system and functional designs
•    3+ years of MuleSoft administration and API development experience preferred.
•    Active Salesforce Administrator & Architect Certifications
•    Strong experience developing a comprehensive technical design based on the requirements uncovered during requirements gathering, leveraging all the capabilities of the Salesforce platform
•    Maintains proficiency with existing and new cloud technologies and services to provide guidance to technical teams as available cloud capabilities evolve
•    Strong experience using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
•    Experience working with external vendors & distributed on/offshore teams

Lockton Pledges $1 M...
Lockton has pledged $1 million to support the Spencer Educational Foundation. The contribution, which will advance the Foundation’s mission of supporting the next generation of risk management and insurance professionals, was announced at the Foundation’s annual Funding Their Future Gala, which generated more than $1.9 million, a new high-water mark. Underscoring the firm’s commitment to talent development, Lockton U.S. President Tim Ryan said the contribution will further bolster the Foundation’s ability to provide scholarships, internships, and experiential learning grants. Ryan was the honoree at the Gala, which was held Sept. 18 in New York. “For decades, Spencer has played a critical role in preparing students for meaningful careers in our industry,” said Ryan. “Speaking with several Spencer Scholars was the highlight of the night. Some are the first in their families to attend college. Some are working multiple jobs to pay for school. Their determination is inspiring, and it reminds us that our role isn’t just about financial support—it’s about showing up with our time, our mentoring, and real-world experiences that set students up for success.
